Best QR Code Size for Print
How to think about physical size, viewing distance, and content density before you send a QR code to print.
Physical size depends on where the scan happens
A code on a business card has different constraints from a code on a storefront window. The right size depends on viewing distance, lighting, camera quality, and content density.
Small, dense, and highly styled is a risky combination
Long payloads produce denser patterns. If you then shrink the QR or use soft contrast and a big logo, the print becomes much less reliable.
Test the final surface
Do not only test on screen. Print the QR at final size, place it in the intended environment, and try several phones if the code will be used at scale.
